Raymond “Ray T” Tawil is a proud graduate of Magen David Yeshivah, a school that his father served as president of for many years. Due to his passion for cooking, he attended Johnson and Wales University, where he got his BS in culinary nutrition and food science. Currently Raymond is the executive chef and owner of PREPT BY RAY T, a company he co-founded in 2021. Additionally he serves as president of Congregation Bnei Yitzhak’s Father-Son Minyan.
Following the October 7th, 2023 attack on Israel, Ray immediately attended several solidarity trips to Israel leading to his involvement with the Sephardic Community Alliance (SCA), where he now serves as a member of the SCA board of directors. When he’s not spending time with his wife Theda and children, he can be found catching up on the NY Rangers, scuba diving or playing goalie in the SY hockey league- “the greatest league in the community”.
