Joseph A. Franco was born in Brooklyn, NY. He is a proud graduate of Magen David Yeshivah Elementary School where he had the honor of learning from the late Hacham Baruch BenHaim who instilled in him a love of Torah & Misvot. He then attended Yeshivah of Flatbush Joel Braverman High School where he learned the values of thinking about others and challenging yourself to be more successful. After graduating NYU Stern School of Business he joined Jay Franco and Sons and now serves as the company’s Vice President.
He spent 29 years on the board of Magen David Yeshivah and is currently volunteering on the board of Congregation Beth Torah, Sephardic Bikur Holim and the Sephardic Rabbinical Dayanut Program. In 2023 he joined the board of trustees of the Sephardic Community Alliance.
Joseph learned from his parents and grandparents the importance of family, Torah values and community involvement. He married Raquel and together, they raised four amazingly talented kids who they learn from every day and consider them all future leaders in their own right. Raquel & Joseph value family, education and a love of Torah and Misvot.
Joseph has a passion for music. Whether it’s Arabic tunes that he learned from his grandparents, country, rock and roll or his favorite band- The Beatles- all music inspires him. He also enjoys reading and writing, considering himself a lifelong student each and every day.
